About Us

The American Insurance Collaborative Journey

AIC was born with the following missions: to dismantle tier systems of A, B, and C leads, upfront lead buys with no guarantees for ROI, and to end cold calling as a central practice in the industry.

At the time the company was forming, Tim, its founder, was living in Colorado’s sparsely populated Rocky Mountains. It was difficult to develop a client base and pipeline to ensure steady income. As an agent licensed in life and health, he decided to attempt to reach out to fellow agents within the area to ask if they would be interested in partnering to broaden their services. Many were also licensed in life and health, but had chosen to focus on different lines of business. As such, their clients actively seeking these services were left having to be redirected to other agents. This was both a clear loss of revenue and an inability to ensure their customers were fully insured.

In soon time, Tim began to become the recipient of referrals in return for referral fees. With a high close rate due to these clients be actively interested and coming from agents they trusted, he posed the thought of: “There should be a structured, safe, regulated, and expansive agent referral system that can guarantee real sales results.” As such, AIC went under development.

How It Works

Inside Our Dynamic Insurance Platform

AIC is a network of producers that are able to work together to ensure their clients are fully insured without having to integrate every line of insurance into their business model. Instead, to help benefit their customers and grow their books of business, clients can be directed to other skilled agents to assist in advising on lines of insurance that they themselves do not write, but share the appropriate licensure, in return for a referral fee. Or, the two agents can trade leads without a monetary transaction. 

Why trade leads?

You might be asking yourself what the purpose of swapping, or trading, leads would be compared to the avenue of referral fees. A key example of the benefits to this approach can be:

  • You may have a client wanting coverage in a line of business you do not write, nor have licensure in. This can prevent any referral fee transactions. However, simply trading leads with an agent facing a similar challenge, where their client needs coverage in a line that he or she does not write, but you do, can allow for mutually expanding your books of business, the breadth of your territorial reach, build relationships, and exchanging actively interested customers. In effect, you are helping your client become comprehensively covered while building your client base.
